Jackie Mitchell

I am a self taught photographer. My favorite motto has always been “get the shot” because chances are, it’s not going to happen again. I owned a photography studio for 12 years, retired from that, and now take photos for my own pleasure. I love photos that make you feel something – scenic being my favourite. Jackie is a long time resident of Killarney-Turtle Mountain who consistently and quietly offers her time and experience to the betterment of our community. She has the strength and quiet pride that allows her to get things done without fanfare. She has made major contributions to the Killarney Foundation, Co-op boards, Donor’s Choice, the Royal Canadian Legion, and Killarney United Church to name a few. Along with her service to community, Jackie is also a very talented photographer and artist and doesn’t hesitate to share or help others reach their artistic potential.
